Updates 13/05/2026: The delegation of the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP), led by Chairman, Malik Faisal Jahangir, concluded its successful visit to New York City with key engagements involving major U.S. importers, distributors, and retailers aimed at expanding the presence of Pakistani rice in the American market. The delegation visited Apna Bazar in Hicksville, Long Island, where discussions focused on increasing Pakistani rice brands across its network of more than 30 retail outlets and exploring the launch of a dedicated private label for Pakistani rice. Meetings were also held with Aahu Barah regarding trade facilitation and FDA compliance procedures, followed by a visit to Best Foods in New Jersey, where the delegation encouraged further expansion of Pakistani rice brands in the U.S. market. The delegation appreciated the support extended by the Consulate General of Pakistan New York, particularly Consul General Aamer Ahmed Atozai and Trade & Investment Counsellor Adnan Mahmood Awan, for facilitating the visit.
