Hon. Governor Sindh, Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi visited REAP House, Karachi to attend a celebration lunch in honor of Abdul Rahim Janoo on receiving the prestigious civil award “Sitara-i-Imtiaz” for his outstanding contributions to Pakistan’s rice export sector and humanitarian services through free eye camps across Pakistan and abroad. During the event, the Governor presented a Gold Medal to Abdul Rahim Janoo and appreciated the efforts of REAP and its members in promoting Pakistan’s rice exports globally. He also proposed organizing a “Biryani Festival” at Governor House Karachi to promote Pakistan’s rice culture internationally and agreed to establish a Rice Cell at Governor House to support the enhancement of rice exports. The ceremony was attended by Acting Chairman REAP, Muhammad Jawed Jillani, Executive Committee Members of REAP, and large number of REAP Members and prominent members of business community, who congratulated Abdul Rahim Janoo on this prestigious achievement.
