REAP Delegation to Oman The Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP) organized a high-level delegation visit to Oman under the leadership of Chairman, Malik Faisal Jahangir comprising Executive Committee Members and leading rice exporters from Pakistan. The visit aimed to strengthen Pakistan’s rice export presence in Oman through focused marketing efforts and enhanced business engagement. During the visit, the delegation met with the Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OCCI) and held discussions on promoting bilateral trade relations and expanding opportunities for Pakistani rice exports in the Omani market. The delegation also participated in a business meetup with representatives from Oman Investment, Food Security, and Oman Logistics. Discussions focused on trade facilitation, food security, logistics collaboration, and strengthening commercial cooperation between the two countries. At the OCCI Headquarters, the delegation met officials from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion. Ministry officials delivered an “Invest in Oman” presentation, while Chairman REAP, Malik Faisal Jahangir, highlighted the strengths and export potential of Pakistan’s rice sector. The program also included networking sessions and B2B meetings with leading Omani importers and trading houses, providing opportunities to develop new business partnerships and expand Pakistan’s market share in Oman. In the evening, the Embassy of Pakistan in Oman hosted a dinner in honor of the delegation, offering an excellent platform for informal networking and relationship building between Pakistani exporters and Omani stakeholders. Overall, the visit proved highly productive and reinforced REAP’s commitment to promoting Pakistani rice internationally while strengthening bilateral trade relations between Pakistan and Oman.
