Mr. Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, Honorable Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, along with Rear Admiral (R) Shahid Ahmed SI (M), Chairman, Karachi Port Trust (KPT), and other officials from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, visited REAP House, Karachi. The meeting was attended by Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo, Group Chairman; Malik Faisal Jahangir, Chairman REAP; Mr. Muhammad Jawed Jillani, Senior Vice Chairman REAP; Executive Committee Members including Mr. Rafique Suleman, Mr. Sheeraz Ahmed Sheikh, Mr. Mahesh Kumar, Mr. Jetendar Kumar, and Mr. M. Shahid Memon (Ex-EC Member REAP); as well as REAP members Mr. Asif Ali Shaikh, Mr. Faisal Anis, Mr. Badaruddin Chishti, and officials of KPT. Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo and Malik Faisal Jahangir appreciated the efforts of the Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan for his continuous support to the export sector during the current challenging global environment. They also acknowledged the contributions of Pakistan’s Maritime Ministry services in improving and streamlining cargo handling operations at the country’s ports. During the meeting, various issues concerning rice exports and matters of mutual interest were discussed. The Honorable Federal Minister assured REAP members of his full support and cooperation in addressing their concerns. Group Chairman, Abdul Rahim Janoo briefed Hon. Minister about Asia’s largest Haji Razzak Janoo Memorial Trust for Free Laser Eye Cataract Surgery Camps in Pakistan and Bangladesh. On request of Hon. Minister, it was agreed to hold a Three Day Free Charity Camp in Toba Tek Singh, all necessary arrangements about food accommodation and venue will be arranged by Hon. Minister and all surgery and medicine expenses will be borne by Haji Razzak Janoo Memorial Trust. At the conclusion of the meeting, REAP and KPT officials exchanged souvenirs as a gesture of goodwill.
