H.E. Mr. Munsoo Kurrimbaccus, High Commissioner of the Republic of Mauritius to Pakistan, along with Mr. Sohail Yasin Suleman, Honorary Consul of Mauritius in Karachi, and Mr. Sajjad Azam, Commercial Director, Honorary Consulate of Mauritius, visited REAP House, Karachi today. The meeting was attended by Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo, Group Chairman; Mr. M. Jawed Jillani, Senior Vice Chairman REAP; members of Executive Committee including Mr. Rafique Suleman, Mr. Jetendar Badlani, and Mr. Sheeraz Ahmed Shaikh, Ex-Chairman REAP; Mr. Abdul Qayum Paracha, Member REAP; Mr. Faisal Anis; along with a large number of REAP members. During the meeting, various issues related to rice exports were discussed in detail, including engagement with the State Trading Corporation (STC), Mauritius for enhancement of rice import quota for REAP members, facilitation of smooth visa issuance for REAP members, and the proposed REAP delegation visit to Mauritius in August 2026. H.E. the High Commissioner of Mauritius while addressing the event, appreciated the role of REAP in promoting bilateral trade, and assured his full support to REAP members for further strengthening trade relations between Pakistan and Mauritius. At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Abdullah Shahid extended a vote of thanks to all participants. Souvenirs were exchanged between REAP and the officials of the High Commission as a token of mutual goodwill.
