31/7/2024 : Mr. Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister for National Food Security & Research called on meeting with stakeholders during his visit to Department of Plant Protection, Karachi. Today. Representatives of various Associations attended the meeting. On behalf of REAP, Mr. Chela Ram Kewlani, Chairman REAP, Mr. Muhammad Raza, Ex-SVC & Convener REAP’s DPP Committee, Mr. Altaf Hussain Shaikh, Secretary REAP and Mr. Arif Ali Khan, Assistant Secretary REAP attended the meeting. Mr. Chela Ram Kewlani thanked Federal Minister for arranging this meeting. He appreciates the role of DPP for betterment of import & export trade of Pakistan, as DPP staff works day & night to provide excellent services to business and trade. He specially highlighted the Shortage of Staff at DPP to complete tasks as significant growth is being observed in import & export trade, particularly rice export trade of Pakistan. Mr. Muhammad Raza highlighted the various other matters related to DPP. Hon. Federal Minister listened to the issues and problems of all stakeholders related to Department of Plant Protection and instructed DPP Officials to take up the matter and resolve the same on priority basis. At the end of meeting, Chairman REAP also presented REAP’s Journal to Hon. Federal Minister.
