The Certificate Distribution Ceremony for the second batch of the "Pakistan Rice Technical Training Course" was held successfully at REAP House, Karachi on 15th May, 2024. Initiated by REAP, these training sessions aim to uplift and enhance industry practices, essential for professional growth within the rice sector. Participants were provided with in-depth knowledge on rice quality, sampling, analysis, and testing methodologies. We hope this training proves pivotal in further improving the standards of Pakistan’s rice exports, across the entire supply chain and insights gained are "Actively Implemented" to maximize their impact. The training was led by Ms. Yasmin Ismail, MC Member REAP and Syed Hamid Raza, Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), having expertise in various domains including product knowledge, quality control, and rice analysis. Dr. Muhammad Tariq Khan, Director General of the Department of Plant Protection, graced the event as the Chief Guest. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo, former Chairman REAP; officials from the University of Karachi, Dr. Fahim Akber, Chairman, Department of Agriculture & Agribusiness Management; Dr. Shamim Iqbal Professor, Mr. Farhan Tahir, Managing Director PMEX, Mr. Muhammad Raza, Former Senior Vice Chairman REAP and REAP members Mr. Faisal Anis and Mr. Ali Deriwala. The event concluded with Mr. Chela Ram Kewlani, Chairman REAP, Dr. Muhammad Tariq Khan and Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo, distributing certificates to the participants and presenting REAP’s Shields to the honorable guests. Chairman REAP, Mr. Kewlani, extended his best wishes to all participants for their future endeavors.
